Happy Army Day.

Translation of the badge: Honor, Sacrifice, Loyalty.
----

I am not sure if it is appreciated right now, or if it is the proper time, but on this 1st of August, I would like to wish the Lebanese Army, a "Happy Army Day".

Here are the names of the Martyrs from the Lebanese Army, who fell during the July 2006 War, between Israel and Hezbollah.

the lebanese army is a police force. the lebanese right wing refuses the political will to make the army strong enough and equipped enough and politically oriented enough to be able to repel izraeli aggression, including the ability to neutralize izraeli air power. having such a political will is unthinkable for the lebanese right, because this would make lebanon unreliant on western political and military patriarchy, which the lebanese right is addicted to.

ooo ibn bint jbeil I couldn't disagree with you more. It is a political decision for the lebanese army not to bear arms, but I think you may be mistaken about who is to blame for this.
