Over the last few days the news here in the UK has been focused on the alleged plot to blow up airlines in mid-air, so information on the situation in Lebanon has been patchy at best. However, this morning I heard that a UN resolution had been agreed on unanimously. Then, in the same breath, the newscaster said, "but Israel is expanding its ground offensive". WTF?!?
This is not an outrage.
And Israel triples its troops following the UN resolution.

no i don't think they'll just stop even with the cease fire... it will get worse before it stops. and still it will not be a total cease fire. just like kids, they never stop fighting.
none/dxb, I didn't quite get that. are you suggesting that to me, this is not a resistance but to them it is? I know that it is "their" country as much as it is mine (mind you I don't like the spearation "their" and mine"), but this exactely why I think they did wrong, because it is OUR country... us Lebanese.

i agree with none/dxb. saying it's OUR country is a nice idealistic view but sadly it's not true (and our history reminds us of that)
