As "Sunscreen" says:

"Do not read beauty magazines. They will only make you feel ugly."

A few months ago, Harpers Bazaar did a photoshoot with Gwyneth Paltrow. I guess they were trying to shave a few inches from her post-baby waist, but they ended up going to print with her hand floating around, unattached to her arm. I mean... leave it alone will you?!

chloe, mirvat :( I didn't like her before.. you see I am very superficial. Actually I don't like her all that much after; she's not my type :P

*(asterisk) it's ok mate, I am sure she also prefers her after picture.

red... every picture every photograph I see nowadays, I wonder if it is photoshoped or not. another form of paranoia and fear of the fake.

jooj, that was nuts eh? the neck the ears the eyes... they are all actually pre-recorded photoshop actions that you could buy for like 600$ the action. you install them and watch their magic work.

lirun, thanks buddy for your comments. It means a lot. As I said in prior the graphics on a blog or very important to me. I often don't read and skip what's on a blog or in a certain post when I don't like the graphics... it tires me.
But I think you do a pretty good job too.

interesting indeed gitanes. media, publicity and packaging. this is what dictate our tastes.

maya, yes you can do that on photoshop of course. if you don't know how, you can buy those actions. But of course you can do them on your own. you just have to know how. (you don't need anything special, except for the actual software)

the whole point is to make her look prettier than you and me .. so that we are made to think that if we use the same product she's using we'll look just as good when in fact it was all that altering that made her look perfect .. when her and us and all of us were just fine the way we were and are ..

At 2:36 AM, Blogger _z. said...

we are all fine... yes that is absolutely true. distortion in all its forms.
