Now I will be accused of defending him...

I heard him live then and I still remember it. The look of basil is truley priceless... I won't defend him on this one... He made me freak when I heard him as well... But he is allowed to come out of line on this matter then, because the propaganda on the issue of him running after presidency is ridicuous...

According to the logic used today for the distribution of "chairs" : Hariri most polular with sunnis, 'assigned' his prime minister; Berri, most popular with chiite, "took' the house; all this is fair, right ? What about christians ? Isn't it supposed to be the most popular with christians ? 26 representatives in the parliment ! and now, at least half of the muslims are supporting him as well, so where is the problem ? This is where the problem on the presidency issue lies...

Mind you that I am against the religious distribution, but until we get rid of it, I want as a christian to choose my president ! and whoever accuses him of running after presidency is truly "HAYAWEN" because other than christians, has nothing to do with who we choose ! that's how the system wants it...

And that's one more reason why Fanta man is in the street... and why I can't wait to join everyone in few days in the streets !

roni... yes he is entitled to run for presidency... but... dude i really don't get your logic.... how! akhh, yalla see you in Lebanon soon, we can continue arguing there.

situation map:
(roni is one of my best friends and my neighbor in Lebanon and in Montreal. I practically known the guy all my life. when we talk politics, ppl in the apt building are on the verge of calling the police to shut us up!)

At 5:41 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

To tell you who the "hayawen" is. The "hayawen" is the person who thinks they're making sense about "Christians choosing their president" then defending the bozo who came in front of a Hezbollah crowd and told them that he wants to send the most popular Sunni Prime Minister home and that he and his Hezbollah friends will "bring" another Sunni of their choosing to replace him.

The "hayawen" is the person who thinks the above is "logic."

well from a psychological point of view , this is exactly what we call "child learning behavior" i'll explain my self and do the comparaison at the same time , when he said hayawen he instantly knew he screwd up and so did bassil and kannan so they all shot up but the crowed was halarious about it and this is when they smiled and after that he repeated it with a smile , typical child behavior , he (the child) says something wrong the parents keep quiet but the guest go : oh he is cute , and he keeps on repeating it !!!!!!!!
the moral od the story : the people how laughed at it are even worst than he is

ts ts ts mahdoom.. bkarir 3aleyk , it wasnt even a slip of a tongue! He repeated it...

Your fixation on Aoun is quite remarkable Z, especially when all other political players in Lebanon belong in a dustbin. You're basing your judgement on Aoun by taking two instances and generalizing from thereon; and, sadly, for extremely superficial reasons: one being his attire at a single event and another his temper. Your 2 blog entries suggest that the orange embelished demon monster Aoun runs around cursing people, therefore he is unfit for presidency. Mind you, you do a good job at making it seem like such a solid foundation for basing one's judgement on a person's political line. So let me ask you this: do you prefer supporting others who smile at you, shower you with carefully picked words, while subduing to an occupier for 12+ years, governing Lebanon as though it's their own personal company and managing somehow to rack a humongous public debt? Which grounds is better for "demonizing" a political figure, yours or the one I just presented? Good luck.

Z, Mr anonymous sounds like your genius efendi friend...

To tell you who the "Hayawen" is. the "Hayawen" is the person who has a problem with a very popular christian leader calling to put down a corrupt sunni leader, but has no problem when the same sunni leader and its supporter puppets, outcast a popular chrisitianleader and strong presidential candidate to bring one of their own.

The "Hayawen" is the person who doesn't think the above was logic.

Ummm, no Roni. The Efendi is more than satisfied with just making fun of and laughing at your ridiculous views.

At 11:13 PM, Blogger Master Blaster said...

And if you think what you wrote was "logic" then... well you know how to finish the sentence. If not, just play the video again.

But it seems this is the kind of "brilliance" the general attracts around him and in his followers.

And you wonder why I thought it was you ?

you highlight logic in brackets just like when you are anonymous ! LOL

nadyn, thank you for the psychological assessment which I find very funny, valid and true.

JOE, and RONI
The problem is that you guys are playing it "a la G.W.Bush". If I am against someone, that doesn't mean that I am with the other, but I opt for the lesser evil. And to me, Evil in Lebanon is very clear and obvious! You have no idea how much I crave for new faces, new modern/secular politicians, and new family names...

It is also very sad that you think my views are superficial, (thank god you didn’t call me hayawen, or is “superficial” just a euphemism for something else?). But really I thought you guys knew me better. It’s ok, you are brainwashed to defend your leader… while I have none, and I wish only for the wellbeing of our country (you know that I follow or belong to no party or current, and never did!). The reason I posted those two entries, is because they are hilarious, and they both show the kind of a person this man is.

To answer your question, NO you did not convince me with your argument. So I still prefer the “funny” statement I made. And I repeat, my statement is that the guy should not wear orange, and should seek psychiatric help… that’s all. I did not get to his choices or his politics yet.

You may find my reply unstructured. It is because I had written a 2-page answer, but decided not to post it. I am sick and tired of this matter, and being in Lebanon does not help at all. You have to be here to feel what people are going through. Lebanon is depressing, people are depressed, and I am depressed.

I am starting to wish I did not come back at all.

Khara 3layoun kelloun! hole w holik, w haydole w haydolik. Ya haram chou 3am ya3mlo bi hal balad... ya haram!
("khara 3layoun" IS a euphemism for something else).

Z, no insult was intended by calling your judgement based on a superficial premise. However, I am surprised that you, of all people - an educated individual who is open-minded - seems to be FIXATED on Aoun. Your criticism is not objective and seems to entail only one personality; that's the obvious nature of your posts. Arguing back by claiming that Aoun requires psychiatric help and that we are brainwashed is again another ridiculous argument. I wish you would base your opinions on the full picture and weigh in the behavior, rhetoric, and steadfastness of all Leb politicians. Good call with the khara 3layon killon; I'm with you all the way on that. Screw politicians, social activism is the right move now ;). Cheers.

Hear hear, now we're getting somewhere.

I like it when I see that you are not basing your whole ideologies on ONE MAN. which is not the case for all members of the FPM. And it is rare.

There is no fixation on Aoun. I look for something funny, and frankly in this field he is a very easy target (you know my blog is not a serious political blog). I may be wrong in accusing you personnally of brainwash, and for that I apologize, but again that is not the case for all FPMs.

If you go back in the archives of my blog, you'll find that everytime a politician does something crazy, I blog about it. Not just Aoun. However, I insist, the guy needs therapy. He has serious issues, and deep down you know it.

You know what, I think my fixation on Aoun is out of frustration too. I expected so much from the guy (I used to honk tararatata kamen). I was thrilled when he "decided" to come back from exile, but was a massive disapointment as soon as he lifted off Paris.

Joe, downtown Beirut is ridiculous.
you smell it a mile away! haram!
How long do you think it will be before tourists start trusting Lebanon again?

we want to live! we deserve to be happy! we have a gorgeous country! and we are destroying it.

YES SOCIAL ACTIVISM IS THE WAY TO GO.
