A Blink of Memory [Butterflies & Demons].

Butterflies & Demons / Nov.07 / Montréal, Québec / Canon Eos Digital Rebel XTi

He had a dream about her last night...
They were together, in their usual little hideaway.
That old vernacular, yellow stone house hidden deep in the heart of the mountain they loved so much.

With only the occasional mist as their accomplice, for years they were able to meet there… clandestinely.

They were happy, enjoying their intimacy, and their isolation.
The world revolved only around them, and the rest fell into oblivion.
Suddenly, a life threatening incident occurs, and without thinking for even a second, he did something that ended him dead to save her life.

He instinctively sacrificed his being, for her.

He always asked himself that question.
You know.
That question he always thought he surely knew the answer for.
If he would really die for her.

People love, and say I love you all the time... but would they really die for someone?

In this intense, unrehearsed, and unconscious phenomenon of dreaming, he got his natural and unconditioned answer...

He would do it faster than the flick of the wings of a butterfly.
He would do it in a blink of a memory.

how beautiful...

Funnily, last night I was discussing this topic with a friend of mine. Is there someone I would die for? Of course, there are several. This is love (love in all its forms). It is a strange emotion that could bring the worst and the best of us... such as the highest and unequaled act of relinquishing oneself for the beloved.

p.s. love the pic; is it your wife?

How poetic, and I mean that in the real sense, sarcasm has no place here.
Unrehearsed rescue is often the best there is.

:) your post makes me wonder ... God, then it does exist ... i had lost faith for a while that it can happen.

I just realized when i am accessing your blog that you're a scorpio, i remember she is a libra? how does it work? so desperate for answers, i have 2 scorpios in my life and have no idea how to get somewhere ... sigh ...

Anyway, great post, so refreshing, so hopeful, sigh ...

ah ... sacrifice .. or rather self-sacrifice does not come to me with the flick of the wings of a butterfly.

but i will do it, after my selfish self has analysed the situation. and i can do this faster than a blink of a memory too, so there usually isn't much consequence.

what i'm trying to say is that it's hard to do. and to hear you talk abt it with such ease and emotion.... it's wonderful that this comes naturally for you.

but you know, regardless, i feel the love you have for your woman, and the unconditional longing and feelings you have for each other ... and it's just beautiful.

don't lose this bond you two.

my turn to apologise for the long comment :) ... i blame it on hormones if my thoughts run disarray. once i've had chocolate, i'll be better.

_z, I drop by here every once in a while, not just because you're among the few who still blog, but because I truly miss this blog.

Always refreshing my friend. This one adds a new dimension.

sorry for the delay... I think these two click very well together. It just works and it is great...
however... and this being said... it is going to take a lot of hard work, a lot of patience, and a big sense of humor from the libra...
Scorpios are hello to love with. They compromise, but libras have to do the extra effort..
(this is regardless if libra and scorpios are She or He).

I don't think it comes as easy as you think... just writing the post was draining.
Even if... how can one be sure of something they saw in a dream or in a vision of some sort...
how can you be sure...
speculations you think? should we get back to reality?
I don't know.

Thank you for the refreshing words man... much appreciated...
glad you are still around.
not much appetite for writing these days?
