Trainspotting.

"limaza la youmkinouni an a3ref, maza yajri men 7awli?" - Mamnou3, Ghassan Rahbani.
Why can I not know what is going on around me?

El Generalissimo Michel Aoun, calls for all Christian Minds to show up at his house in Rabieh for a "train wagon" of talk, negotiations, and mental masturbation.
Many decided to show up and many didn't. But amongst those who did make an appearance, were Gassan, and his father, Elias el Rahbani.

WTF!
You guys aren't even mentioned on wickipedia!

They are maybe on research duty, writing for another play. They mingle with the big boys, see how they talk it out, and then go take the material onto the stage, and sing it out to us, the poor commoners.

f. morons.

Rejoice people of Lebanon, for we do not write history, we sing it!

ziz,
thing is artists are freedom fighters. Artists are as well the least biased in this game...

their political opinion is not probably too worthy. But thier support is. That's why they showed.

Bono and many others in the US, were majors activists against bush's stupd war.

so I value their presence and read it more positively.

Dude bono, represents the united nations, he went to Somalia!

ghassan rahbani created the 4 cats... and Elias Rahbani makes an ass out of himself on future television paneling on superstar...

very valid comparison mate. very valid!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, akh ya Alla!

I was looking at a government's site today, to see what I need to do before I take off and I found these warnings:

OFFICIAL WARNING: Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against non-essential travel to Lebanon due to ongoing political tensions and a highly volatile security situation.

The constitutional deadline of November 24, 2007 has passed without the election of a new President of Lebanon. Negotiations between parties are ongoing. The current situation remains fragile and could deteriorate further without warning.

and

OFFICIAL WARNING: Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against all travel to the south of the Litani River, especially the areas near the border with Israel, and to the city of Sidon and its surroundings.

"limaza la youmkinouni an a3ref, maza yajri men 7awli?" - Mamnou3, Ghassan Rahbani.

it would of been so easy if history classes were songs!!!! :D

ideas, thoughts and stuff...

so you quoted part of the text I already quoted, and then decided to disagree with something I didn't say, and never would have.

how did you come up with that conclusion?

where in the text did you read me say that singing history was "wrong".
If you can find in the blogosphere a bigger advocate of the arts... please let me know...

Hehe man, sorry for being away and miss all the fun :D, I thought that you wanted to stay away from politics, i guess these are the kind of things that require you to break the radio silence!

Respect

my man!

hehe no you did not miss all the fun! it's archived for your pleasure.

yeah I was a bit absent for the past couple of weeks bitching crazy hours on a project to china. The preliminary design is submitted, so I should resume my blogging duties soon enough.

I try to evade politics, but it is never easy, and especially when I am coming back home. I become easily irritated by stupidities, and I get theses brief outbursts.

The reason I try to stay away from politics is because I propose no alternative. I just hate them all. It is easy to criticize, but what is the alternative. What is the adequate alternative that is not bordering the utopia discourse.

I don't know...

So I don't offer constructive criticism. Only criticism. And that's very easy to do, and not necessarily intelligent.
